ettain group has an immediate need for a Mid-Level SQL Developer for a 3 month contract to hire opportunity with a healthcare client in Charlotte, NC. As a SQL developer you will be coding and doing unit testing. You need to have a strong background with SQL, C#, and VB.NET.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for code development and unit testing.
• Develops the user interface layer and integration with the business and data layers.
• Provides progress reports for assigned development tasks to project development lead.
• Interacts with user management regarding project status and user requirements to promote an environment with improved productivity and satisfaction.
• Participates in unit testing and requirements validation.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
• Knowledge of Company's business practices and vision
• Basic understanding of object oriented programming methodology.
• Prefer 3+ year role specific (SQL Integration Services, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, DTS, etc) development experience.
• Prefer 3+ year experience with development tools such as C#, VB.Net, TSQL, VB Script, XML, XPath, HTML, Encryption, EDI, and Web services.
• Knowledge and experience using versioning and change control software.
• Prefer 2+ years experience using SQL Server and clear understanding of database concepts.
• Experience with role specific (2.0 Framework, Agile, N-Tier, SOA) a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines
• Ability to use good judgment in conveying project status and problem escalation
• Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
