Summary: Responsible for performing both financial analysis and cost analysis to identify opportunities, highlight risk areas, and drive business improvement results in both revenue as well as cost areas. This role will require both detailed analysis skills utilizing large amounts of information and the ability to translate the analysis into recommendations that will be presented to Senior Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Recommend and develop associated action plans, including multifunctional input, for revenue growth as well as cost optimization opportunities
• Identify risk areas from a revenue and cost perspective and develop associated action plans, including multifunctional input, to mitigate those risks
• Manage and develop organization including cost accounting group
• Develop financial analysis models to evaluate revenue and cost trends internally while incorporating external factors (commodities, etc.) as well
• Manage the processes and controls associated with the Bill of Material and associated specifications and costing
• Provide Specifications & Costing assistance to Simmons Canada and other organizations as required
• Support the New Product Development (NPD) team with timely and accurate costing on new products
• Recommend and develop cost accounting process and system improvements
• Ensure strong linkage with multiple functions (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales Ops, IT) to enhance business accuracy and results

Education/Experience/Job Factors/Work Environment:
* 5-10 years related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA, CPA and/or equivalent work experience
• Up to 25% travel including plant locations throughout North America.
