ParenteBeard is seeking a Manager for its Tax Practice in its Lancaster office. Under the general supervision of Senior Managers and Partners, Managers have oversight of all regular and special matters for those clients assigned to them. This oversight includes: quality control of all work; review of work papers; research and analysis; preparation of all reports; planning, supervision and control of all phases of regular client services; engagement staff supervision; and maintenance of client relationships.
The Manager should expect to keep the Senior Manager and/or Partner informed of all important engagement developments. The Manager keeps the Partner apprised of each client's project status and any potential problems. He/She works to anticipate client issues and resolves them when they occur. The Manager serves as the communication conduit between the Partner and the client.
The Manager has a lead role in coaching and developing team members. This includes directing, coordinating and evaluating team members on each client engagement.
The Manager is expected to actively participate in the Firm's business development efforts. He/She positively represents the Firm at business and community functions in order to maintain current, acquire new, and expand existing relationships. All Firmprofessionals represent the Firm through involvement in professional, recruiting, charitable and/or civic events and organizations.

Successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of public accounting or related experience, along with a demonstrated record of progressively increasing knowledge, skill, responsibility and independence. In addition, sound written and verbal communication skills, an ability to work independently or as part of a team and the capacity to appropriately interact with all levels of Firm management and staff, clients and other external business contacts are required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, as well as CPA license required. Individuals in this position must have demonstrated computer skills and experience with accounting software is required. A valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle is also required.
