Imagine what we will achieve together.Risk Advisory ManagerMcGladrey has an immediate opening for a Manager to join our existing Risk Advisory Consulting Practice in Boston, MA. Our Risk Advisory Practice is made up of individuals able to contribute tangible value to our clients in the areas of business risk management, business processes evaluation, internal auditing, internal controls and regulatory compliance. We help our clients evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, offer recommendations to improve, and assist clients as they design, build and operate new business processes, IT systems and other important changes in their business activities.
The Risk Advisory Manager is responsible for providing internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley and IT Audit services to dynamic organizations - across many different industries.The candidate will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, both individually and in small teams, discussing findings and observations during exit meetings, preparing work papers to support conclusions and preparing written memos for inclusion in formal reports. The position will also include client service assistance such as advice on various operational and compliance matters, best practices and helping clients deal with control issues. The candidate should be familiar with COSO, Sarbanes Oxley, COBIT and IT Audit requirements and have experience in the review of the appropriate procedures.Qualifications- Ability to contribute well in a team environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.- 7-12 years Audit and/ or Consulting experience is a plus- Ability to work in multiple industries (consumer products, industrial products, banking, etc.) - Professional services background is a must- Credentials in Internal Auditing / Accounting- Extensive experience managing / training people
- Bachelor degree business, finance, or accounting, masters degree preferred.
- Regulatory, internal audit or public accounting background.
