Job Description
Marketing Managers develop and execute marketing strategies and tactics that support and maximize Case, New Holland and Kobelco’s market share objectives, product launches, branding efforts and profitability targets. To accomplish this, the Brand Marketing Manager works closely with cross functional teams to create and execute a cohesive marketing plan for each product line to effectively position each brand.
- Lead the successful marketing of assigned Construction branded products and services by knowing our customers and their business, our competitors and the markets better than we know ourselves.
- Manage diverse attachment lines of assigned products and provide growth opportunities.
- Work closely with Platform Marketing, Regional Brand Leaders, Communications, Price & Programming and Training Shared Services in order to create and execute cohesive marketing plans for assigned products.
- Develop and deliver high impact marketing packages and support materials required to successfully launch and support assigned products.
- Continually support the marketing of assigned products and services during the product and service life cycle through creative marketing tactics and brand building initiatives.
- Provide on time delivery of marketing materials that directly support market segment needs and market share targets.
- Analyze data from the appropriate internal (sales and engineering) and external (customers, dealers and competitive intelligence) sources and then provide fact based marketing recommendations to ensure that quarterly and annual programs as well as pricing tactics support the operational targets.
- Assist in the development of the Annual Operating Plan and Market Attack Plan for assigned products.
- Requires 30% NA travel with flexibility to do more on occasion as needed.
- May or may not have direct supervisory responsibility.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the construction industry and specific product (heavy construction equipment) knowledge preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of related industry experience required.
- 8+ years of related industry experience required—at least some of the experience must be in construction equipment industry
- The construction equipment experience can be with large heavy construction equipment or even smaller construction equipment.
- Must have OEM experience (that is, not just dealership or distributor experience only).
- Must have whole goods experience. (Experience with Parts/Aftermarket is not sufficient)
- Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience required, business-to-business, not consumer packaged products.
- Experience working with dealer network is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- Clear working knowledge of effective communications channels required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required. MBA or masters degree in related area preferred
