Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities: Under general supervision, analyzes facility support systems and failure data to determine potential critical failure points within assigned systems, and provides recommendations for enhancement. Investigates and produces technical reports on the reliability consequences of engineering construction projects, new designs, equipment purchases, laws and regulatory requirements, and contractual requirements changes.Work activities include: Performing Systems Assurance Analysis (SAA) and System Safety Analysis on assigned facilities and equipment which may include: oFailure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)oHazard Analysis (HA)oEnd to End AnalysisoFault Tree AnalysisoLife Cycle Analysis Develops and maintains Critical Items Lists (CIL)Develop and maintains Operations and Maintenance Requirements Specification Documents (OMRSD) Prepares scheduled and special reports, trend charts, graphs, and metrics depicting facility/system/equipment performance and activitiesEvaluates new design projects for:oSystem criticalityoSystem safety oReliability oPotential failure pointsEvaluates new purchases for: oPotential risks oHazards oSystem safetyoReliabilityEvaluates changes in Federal, State, local laws and regulations, NASA engineering requirements, or contractual revisions to:o Determine impact on reliability and system safety standards o Document findings and provide mitigation recommendations
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or related scientific field and/or at least 10 years of job-related experienceExcellent written communications skills and ability to generate technical reportsKnowledge and experience with electrical systems and ability to read electrical prints and drawingsExcellent team work, analytical, and project communications skillsWorking knowledge of computer systems, word processing, and data processing
