Established in 1891 as the University of Texas Medical Department, UTMB has grown from one building, 23 students and 13 faculty members to a modern health science center with more than 70 major buildings, more than 2,500 students and more than 1,000 faculty.

Job Description 

Min Qualifications
High school or equivalent and two years related experience. Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Graduate or CVT or LVT.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To provide technical expertise in all aspects of veterinary anesthesia, aseptic surgery support, pre-operative and post-operative care, veterinary clinical and laboratory services,and technical support services.

Specific Job Related Duties
1. Provide aseptic and technical surgical support.
2. Performs anesthetic induction, maintenance and monitoring.
3. Maintains surgery/veterinary records; operates/maintains surgical equipment.
4. Exposes and develops radiographs.
5. Cleans and sets up operating suite and surgical packs.
