Job Responsibilities:
We're looking for a creative, talented, and experienced application engineer who can help develop solutions and become a solutions expert for hospital customers, one of Schneider Electric's most important target segments. You would listen to customer needs and reach across Schneider Electric and with external partners to propose system solutions made up of products, systems, software, and services from our Building, Power, and IT businesses. You would consider different solution possibilities and quantify the most efficient integrated solution with supporting services and pre-engineer it for easy field implementation. You would work with the Top20 Schneider countries worldwide to step-by-step become the technical solution expert for hospitals and support solution introduction and major opportunities. In doing all this, you will help transform Schneider Electric and bring hospital customers high value solutions to their most pressing needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
� Work with the Healthcare Solution Vice President to listen to customer needs and propose system solutions made up of products, systems, software, and services from our Building, Power, and IT businesses and potential partner 3rd party systems.
� Consider different solution possibilities and quantify the most efficient integrated solution with supporting services and pre-engineer it for easy field implementation
� Provide segment-solution technical expertise to management, sales, technical personnel in the Top20 countries targeting hospitals/healthcare.
� Document and standardize processes to implement integrated Level 3 solutions
� Document and standardize applications implementation within given segment or solution
� Track trends in latest technology and integration in solution or segment
� Serve as the technical expert in the sales process for a few selected major hospital project opportunities globally.
� Manage and interface with new product development tracking gaps and closures
� Assist sales from the technical architecture, applications and product perspective
� Other duties may be assigned EDUCATION:
� Minimum Bachelors Degree with technological concentration or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE:
� 5+ years experience as an application engineer or architecture expert in the systems business
� Project development and technical solution proposal development experience
� Experience working with IP networks and IP technologies (hardware and software) to develop IP based, integrated solutions
� Systems experience (controls, networks, software, etc.)
� Experience selling, supporting, and defining services preferred
� Project management experience preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
� Experience and passion/enthusiasm for developing system and service solutions for customers based on their business needs.
� Strong technical architecture and applications understanding in a given segment or solution (or high aptitude to quickly understand and then integrate new systems/product/software from different Schneider businesses or potential partners)
� Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers to provide understanding of specific technologies
� Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others
� Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization
� Ability to influence and align diverse technical application teams with their own passions for "invented here" products, systems, and solutions, and be able to align them on a common solution that make sense from the view of the customer (and not a compromise or solution designed by committee)
� Ability to define and launch an advanced services offer
� Ability to align execution teams around execution to make Level 3 solutions and advanced services solutions repeatable and consistent
� Ability and interest to work internationally by telephone or travel as required. Openness and interest in other cultures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is primarily sedentary plus airport international travel. Typically the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. With travel the employee would need transport items such as a laptop computer, paper, books and luggage across airports, taxi/rental car, visiting customer/Schneider sites.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is exposed to a general office environment. Employee should expect to travel 20% to 40% of their time, including international travel.
