Mergers and Acquisitions Associate - Minnetonka, MN
As a key member of our fast-paced Corporate Development team, this position would put you at the forefront of a number of merger and acquisition projects, providing extensive exposure to executive and senior leadership throughout our organization and also to senior management of companies targeted for acquisition.We are seeking a professional with M&A experience and/or investment banking experience. Strong accounting & finance, communication and analytical skills are essential, as is demonstrated leadership.Primary responsibilities include:Assessing transaction opportunities and establishing transaction strategyInterfacing with executive and business senior leadership, transaction advisors and acquisition targetsDefining and negotiating transaction termsLeading and conducting due diligence on potential acquisition targetsPreparing and assessing financial, qualitative and valuation analysesLead special initiatives for corporate senior executivesManaging, developing and coaching staff (training and mentoring)
Identify and analyze possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Prepares financial and economical analyses; including forecasts, budgets, cash flows and financial models for due diligence process.
Works with senior leadership on all phases of the pre-merger process, and post-merger implementation.
1+ year of progressive experience with corporate development, private equity and/or investment banking or TAS experience with a consulting firm.BS/BA degree required. Advanced degree (JD, MBA, Masters degree) preferred.Prior due diligence experience required, particularly financial due diligenceComprehensive understanding of valuation methodologiesStrong communication skills with a variety of levels of constituentsExperience managing staffTeam player with strong attention to detailAbility to handle multiple, complex and competing priorities and projectsHealthcare industry knowledge preferred.Proactive approach to learning new skill set and accelerated learning curveTravel and work schedule flexibility
