Job Summary: Responsible for driving the presales process toward informed and effective bid decisions by providing the project teams and management with timely, relevant, comprehensive and accurate financials. Make recommendations to project teams and to management on bid decisions for all projects within our business.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Manage the proposal generation function by driving sales, project management, technical and service teams to respond in a timely and effective manner to capture new business
2. Lead the presales process in terms of deliverables, reviews, and approvals according to the proposal time frame
3. Understand the opportunities in terms of customer requirements, timing, costs, risks, features, competition and any other area impacting bid content and strategy
4. Generate the opportunity financials and present them to management for informed bid decisions
5. Run presales project financial reviews and management bid scrub reviews
6. Coordinate with the team to ensure the consistency of the commercial proposal with the agreed bid strategy, financials and content
7. Ensure effective dissemination of appropriate pre-sales information within the project teams
8. Enable bid discussions that support business growth, strategy and profitability
9. Interact with technical staff and other relevant departments to keep updated with technology advances and competition
10. Manage the proposal generation function by driving team deliverables for timely and accurate responses to bid requests
11. Provide leadership and coaching for bid & quote team in order to accomplish organizational, departmental and individual goals and objectives

Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field
Year of Experience:
• Minimum 5-7 years experience managing bid responses for large projects and/or managing proposal development
• Minimum 2 years Supervisory/Management experience
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
• Ability to analyze business plans and correspondent costs, validate and defend a profitable project for the company
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Soft Skills:
• Work in schedule driven environment, including working efficiently, multi-tasking, meeting stringent deadlines, and achieving project goals
• Outstanding organizational skills; must be detail-oriented and possess strong follow-through skills
• Strong interpersonal ,verbal and written skills
• Public speaking and presentations skills
• Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings with all levels of employees
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment
• Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work procedures
Physical Requirements:
• Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
• Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
