Aircraft Engine Design Engineer

This Engineer / Technologist position will deliver preliminary design of military engines. This individual will utilize their engineering degree and gas turbine engine experience to consider architecture options, generate engine concepts, incorporate advanced technology assumptions, execute cycle analysis and make design decisions.
In addition you will:
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Use engine cycle analysis software to execute parametric design studies and to generate engine performance data
Use engine design software to generate flow path layout and weight estimations
Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or closely related field from an accredited college or university
Eligibility Requirements:Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Security and/or Secret Clearance

Masters of Science in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or closely related field
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Object oriented programing experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience with gas turbine engine design
Gas turbine engine cycle analysis experience using NPSS or similar software to create engine cycle decks
