Melrose began in 1976 with one store in McAllen, Texas. Now, over thirty years later, we have over one hundred stores throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Additional stores are planned to open this year. This successful growth stems from a simple concept: offering our customers quality fashion merchandise at a great price.
In recent years Melrose has added, to select stores, Men's, Girls' and Boys' fashion. Making Melrose a one stop shop for quality affordable fashion for the entire family.
Sales/Cashier is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per Company flex-service program, generating sales, processing sales quickly and efficiently, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets. Receive and disburse money from customers as payment for merchandise. Involves use of electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment. Processing credit or debit card transactions and validating checks.

Experience: Prior cash handling and cash register experience is preferred but not required.

•Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
•Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth in the physical requirement section of this job description.
