American Welding & Gas is an industry-leading and employee-owned company engaged in the distribution and sales of welding, industrial/specialty and industrial coatings. Operations are based in multiple locations throughout the United States.
We are seeking a Sales Representative in WAUSAU, WI to develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales of products and services. This person will be responsible for increasing awareness of the company and the features and benefits of the many products and services. We are looking for a self-starter who finishes projects.
Responsibilities also include the following:
*increasing sales within territory
*contacting regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products *explaining product features and soliciting orders
*checking stock levels and reordering merchandise as necessary
*answering customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses and credit terms
*recommending products to customers based on customers' needs and interests
*monitoring market conditions, product innovations and competitors' products, prices and sales
*arranging and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment providing instruction and support to customers as needed
*providing training and communication to store teammates regarding programs to improve competitive position and improve customer-service levels
*performing administrative duties such as preparing weekly call reports, sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records and filing expense account reports
*performing other duties as assigned
