Autonomous Systems Software Engineer - AE4-2563
Infoscitex (IST) is seeking an innovative and creative computer engineer/computer scientist to develop computer algorithms, implement GUI concepts and debug and test C#, Java and C++ code. We are looking for a creative computer engineer who would enjoy the challenge of working on next generation systems, turning vision into reality. Working within a research lab environment this position will support development activities that include, but are not necessarily limited to, human interfaces to automated and autonomous systems and development of visualization techniques to better support operator situation assessment and real-time decision making during unmanned systems operations.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and integrate advance intelligent agent technologies and algorithms.
Support research into human-autonomy coordination and collaboration.
Design and implementation of graphical user interface in C#, Qt, Java and C.
Develop new applications and maintain existing applications.
Innovates data visualization and presentation techniques.
Creates code that meets system standards.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Computer Engineering experience with at least six (6) years of experience in programming languages such as C#, Java, C++, and Python.
Candidate must be able to obtain a National Agency Check (NAC) security clearance.
Background and experience with development of intelligent agent technology and machine learning.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Creative problem solving capabilities.
Ability to support multiple projects.
Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories and techniques.
Excellent communications with the ability to prepare and deliver clear presentations on research and development plans, project status, technical issues and results.
Demonstrated ability to think “on your feet” and react to time critical situations to achieve project success.
Experience in developing software for mobile computing devices a plus.
Knowledge and understanding of issues associated with unmanned systems is a plus.
Ph.D is desirable.
