The university is currently seeking a Faculty Administrator. This Faculty position is located in our CAH-School of Visual Arts & Design.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess a terminal degree in art, digital media, or design-related fields from an accredited institution.
Additional requirements are demonstrated experience in budget, personnel and facilities management and a distinguished record of scholarly and creative activity.
The ideal candidate is an innovative leader who will direct the new School of Visual Arts and Design, a unique structure that combines traditional and new media arts with the emerging media concepts that are the foundation of animation, game and web design, and interactive education. The school will figure prominently in the new strategic City/State mission of the university through significant contributions to local simulation and gaming industries. The academic home for the School of Visual Art and Design is in the College of Arts and Humanities. The School Director will report to the Dean of the College of Arts & Humanities.
The director's duties include program administration, personnel management, teaching, research, student recruitment, and developing relationships with local industry. The director is also responsible for academic visioning and continued program development, interdepartmental collaboration, and internal relations within the larger university structure. The directorship is a 12-month, full-time position involving administration, strategic planning, teaching, and continuing scholarship and/or practice.
Preferences: Candidates with prior academic administrative responsibility; a documented record of academic program planning and development; experience with strategic partnerships; and a demonstrated commitment to collaboration and interdisciplinarity, including community and industry outreach are preferred.
