What are your responsibilities as an Assistant Manager?

Your top priority is to ensure that excellent customer service standards are met!  You will support the efforts of the Store Manager by recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising up to 30 co-workers in a state of the art convenience store location.  Increase store profitability through inventory control, controlling store expenses, and promoting the sale of our products through merchandising, displays and getting the “word" out.  Complete daily and weekly bookkeeping, follow and enforce all company policies, and maintain an overall positive store atmosphere through cleanliness, security, equipment maintenance and friendly greetings!

Requirements

High School diploma/GED; prior retail management experience; valid driver’s license; ability to work a minimum of 50 hours a week; ability to work primarily a 2nd shift; up to 2-3 weekends per month and some holidays.  Work in a fast paced environment; work in a safety conscious environment.  Other qualifications are excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership qualities, ability to prioritize, plan ahead, manage multiple tasks, strong desire to succeed, goal oriented, and possess traits of Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Core Values of Honesty and Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Humility, Innovation, and Work Ethic.

Physical Requirements:

Stand/walk up to 10 hours per day regularly, lift up to 50 pounds, ability to bend, twist, reach and kneel regularly.
