Description The Major Gifts Assistant under the direction of the Assistant Director of Development for Major Gifts, is responsible for in-depth research of identified prospects, proactive research, prospect ratings and prospect management to support individual and corporate and foundation major gift solicitations. Collaborates with members of the development team as well as leadership and other  key staff members throughout the diocese.  The individual selected for this position will support the efforts of the Assistant Director of Development for Major Gifts and manage the general office environment of the  major gifts office.
Requirements High School graduate with an Associates Degree preferred.  Two years of pervious experience in a similar office environment especially working with upper level management preferred.  Experience in fundraising beneficial. A demonstrated success in working with volunteers is essential.  Flexible work hours required.  Must possess an understanding of fundamental fundraising concepts.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.  Working knowledge of database programs, Raiser's Edge and electronic communication advantageous.
