The RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, LEAD DISCOVERY position will interact with multiple project teams and will be required to communicate clearly among diverse scientific disciplines. Critical evaluation of results and independent thinking are expected. Documentation of results as high-quality internal reports is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Perform biochemical and cell based assays.
• Perform experiments in molecular biology, protein purification and crystallization.
• Data analysis and report preparation.
• Maintain an up-to-date, detailed laboratory notebook.
• Maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment.
Requirements • BS in biological sciences with 2 to 5 years lab experience.
• Experience with biochemical and cell based assays.
• Experience with molecular biology experiments.
• Ability to work independently in the execution of scientific experiments.
• Willingness to learn new technologies related to the field of drug discovery.
• Willingness to work in a Biosafety Level 2 facility.
• Desire to contribute and collaborate in an entrepreneurial, small company environment.
