CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULER/CLAIMS ANALYST
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reviews contractor schedules and analyzes potential construction claims by providing expert opinions, advice and variance reports as necessary on contractual entitlement and quantification of damages suitable for use in dispute resolution proceedings including negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation.
Maintains and updates project schedule and budgets including forecasts and estimates at completion.
Establishes and maintains professional business relations with clients, distributors, vendors, and trade contacts.
Provides assistance, advice and recommendations to construction management team on contractual matters.
Conducts research, analysis and feedback for all on-going projects.
The skills we are seeking include the following: ability to review and analyze issues and project documentation, analyze contracts and subcontracts to determine parties' responsibilities in light of disputes, CPM scheduling expertise and hands-on use of Primavera P6 software for project controls and evaluation of delays, report writing & preparation of charts & graphs to support and present analyses, strong oral and written presentation skills, strong knowledge of construction means and methods, knowledge of contractor cost accounting systems, estimating and managing assignment budgets, overseeing and working closely with other project staff, participating in marketing opportunities/interviews, and interfacing effectively with clients.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Position requirements include, but are not limited to: 5-10 years of consulting experience in progressively responsible construction claims roles. Including 3 or more years of experience as a Scheduler, ideally related to construction claims. Experience with transportation, industrial, building and/or environmental projects, and a strong construction background on large, complex projects is highly preferred. Exceptional written and verbal communications and organizational skills are a must. The successful candidate must interface effectively with clients, coworkers, and others. Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required.
Minimum years of experience: 5
Education required: BA or BS in related technical field such as Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or a closely related field. Masters Degree is a plus.
Registrations/Certifications preferred: P.E. (Professional Engineer) License, P6 certification
Special considerations, specific technical experience, skills, etc.: Experience with Primavera CPM scheduling software and MS Office including MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel and MS Access. Knowledge of VBA, .NET and SQL is a plus.
This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
