Description
Thank you for your interest! At this time WVMI is looking for qualified candidates within a 50 mile radius of Morgantown WV and are willing to travel. Only local candidates need apply.
The West Virginia Medical Institute (WVMI), the Mountain State's Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Medicare, based in Charleston, is seeking professionals with health care project-implementation experience to facilitate the adoption, acquisition and implementation of Health Information Technology (HIT) in physicians’ offices state-wide.
These Project Coordinators will be part of a dynamic, specialized team responsible for guiding physician practices through the decision-making process for adoption of HIT (Web-based technology, e-prescribing and/or transitioning to full Electronic Health Records). Accurately assessing practices for appropriate work flow and readiness, and providing expert guidance during the implementation phase, will be critical to these positions. These positions are home-based.
Qualified Project Coordinators must have followed one of these two degree and/or experience tracks: (1) Registered Nurse or LPN with clinical experience in primary care offices, as well as some experience implementing HIT in such settings, including practice management systems; or (2) Office Management or office support staff (non-clinical) with direct experience integrating HIT into the physician practice setting.
While a college degree is preferred, three to five years working with EMIR/EHR in a physician office setting may be substituted for a degree. Experience with live EMR/EHR implementation in a physician’s practice would be a plus. Some in-state travel using personal transportation will be required. While these positions are home-based, a two-week training session in Charleston is required of successful candidates.
WVMI offers competitive salaries, excellent working conditions and an outstanding benefits package. Interested applicants may e-mail their resume and cover letter to [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] or fax them to 304-347-8825 by November 25, 2009. For additional information about WVMI, visit our Web site at http://www.wvmi.org/. AA, EOE
