Radar Design Engineer
Description of Radar Design Engineer:
Intelligent Automation, Inc., headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, conducts state of the art research and product development in the areas of Communications and Sensors, Distributed Intelligent Systems, Robotics, Signal Processing and Control, Education Technology and Training and other areas. IAI is looking for a radar design engineer
Job duties will include:
- Perform system design and analysis for advanced radar including pulse radar, CW radar, Phased Array, SAR, and direction finding systems.
- Perform system level modeling and simulation using MATLAB, Labview, or similar tools.
- Develop advance radar processing, target detection and tracking algorithms.
- Optimize signal processing algorithms for real-time implementation on DSP or FPGA.
- Work with RF and hardware engineers to select sub-system components and implement radar and DF systems on FPGA, DSP, and RF/analog/digital circuits.
- Prepare technical writings, including grant proposals, progress reports, and test procedures.

Job Requirements:
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Solid background in radar theory and simulations, including Matched filter, Doppler processing (pulse-Doppler, pulse-pair), pulse compression, wideband LFM-NLFM processing Radar waveforms, SAR, Phased-array radar, target tracking, MTI, interference/noise cancellation, and RF jamming.
- Three years or more experience in overall radar system design and system analysis.
- Familiarity with RF components/subsystems and test equipment including network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, spectrum analyzer.
- Experience in EM simulation and software-defined radar/radio are plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required.
