Department overview: The Intelius engineering team promotes flexible culture and work-life balance. Intelius’ engineering department has expanded every year, and places a strong emphasis on utilizing individuals’ unique skills and talents.

We are seeking experienced software design engineers & architects with expertise in C/C++ and LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) development platform to design and architect the next generation of search products. Experience in coding, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale web applications is mandatory. Experience with high performance and low latency search technologies is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

·         Create robust high-volume web-based production applications, and develop prototypes quickly

·         Conceive and implement new features and enhance relevancy and performance of people search product

·         Continually improve & enhance search quality and search infrastructure

• BA/BS in Computer Science. MS or PhD is preferred.
• 5-10+ years of experience developing web and search applications.
• Extensive programming experience in C/C++
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with PHP and JavaScript a plus.
• SQL experience strongly desired, MySQL a plus.
• A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
• Fluent written & verbal communication skills are strong assets.
• Experience leading short projects involving outside teams is a plus.
