Minimum Requirements:
Qualified candidate must have at least a bachelor's degree in Coastal Science or Engineering. Must have:
  • Knowledge of SLOSH, WHAFIS, STWAVE, SWAN, ADCIRC, or other coastal modeling programs
  • Detailed knowledge of GIS technology.
  • Knowledge of FEMA floodplain mapping program

    Job Description:
    The Coastal Scientist/ Engineer will assist in conducting coastal studies for floodplain studies and related projects. Will perform coastal analyses, modeling and floodplain delineations using GIS-based engineering and mapping tools. May also assist on other water resources projects and participate in mitigation planning, disaster, and emergency management projects as assigned.xurs07xurscb1
