The Westborough branch of Our Client, one of the world's leading biotechnology companies, has a contract position available for a Lead WebMethods Developer to work for a Web Development team.

This is an immediate need and the duration is scheduled to initially last two (2) months. Though Our Client is unable to offer relocation assistance at this time, but they are happy to review resumes of candidates who are able to relocate and come to interview.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Lead WebMethods Developer is responsible for webMethods 7.x CAF/BPM/BAM development, as well as being involved in gathering user requirements and creating design specifications. Additionally, the Developer:

  • Must be able to mentor less-experienced webMethods Developers and work independently.
  • Is responsible for webMethods and C#/Java programming.
  • May lead small Development projects.
  • Interacts with and coordinates other teams throughout the SDLC lifecycle, including Lead Integration Architecture Design sessions with vendor teams and QA teams.

This is an estimated 2-3 month contract position, through Volt Workforce Solutions - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Woburn, MA. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies on the East Coast.



Requirements:

Required Skills for this Lead WebMethods Developer position include the following:


  1. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience developing applications for Client Servers or Web-based architecture
  2. A minimum of three (3) years of .NET and/or Java-based Application Development experience and four (4) years of experience with webMethods
  3. Hands-on experience with webMethods 7+ required
  4. Strong skill and experience with the following:
    • Enterprise Development: webMethods, C#, .Net, Java, XML/XSLT, Web Services
    • Data Access Technologies: PL-SQL, T-SQL
    • Database: SQL Server 2008/2005, Oracle (at least 8.0)


  5. Must have a BA/BS Degree
  6. Must be able to understand Architecture UML diagrams
  7. Should have superior knowledge of Web Services, XML and SOAP
  8. Solid understanding of SOA and Object-Oriented analysis and Design required
  9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  10. Experience in the Biotech and/or Healthcare preferred
  11. WebMethods certification also preferred
