The company is currently looking for a scientist with a strong background in proteomics and/or biopharmaceutical applications and methods development, with a strong focus on protein quantification and biomarker discovery. This is a direct hire Opportunity!
Individual will be responsible for product demonstrations, customer training and applications development. Ideal candidate will be highly skilled, highly motivated, interested in working in a dynamic corporate environment.
The positions main focus is to demo their instruments during the sales process, so the ideal candidate has to have excellent people skills and can't be intimidated by sales situations and the pressure that goes along with it.
Analytical method development with a focus on proteomic applications including: LC-ESI-MS/MS, LC-UV, Protein sample handling, digestion, clean up, Protein identification, peptide mapping, peptide mass fingerprinting utilizing accurate mass, Protein quantification, differential expression levels
Required Skill Sets: Instrumentation; Tandem MS instrumentation, HPLC, Capillary/nano HPLC.
Preferable Skill Sets: MALDI, Knowledge of database searching (MASCOT or similar), Ion trap MS, Teaching, experience, 2D LC, Identification of posttranslational modifications.
Experience: Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry required, an advanced degree preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years LC/MS experience in biochemical MS applications, experience with proteomics and database searching beneficial. Should possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Up to 25% travel required.
