About us:
The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) is a government organization and was established in 1961 with headquarters in Riyadh. Two branches of the IPA came to birth later on in Dammam and Jeddah in 1973 and 1974, respectively. The women's branch was established in Riyadh in 1983. The purpose of the Institute is to promote the efficiency of civil servants and prepare them academically and practically to carry out their responsibilities, to use their authority in a way to ensure a high level of administration, and to support the bases for developing the national economy.
The IPA also participates in the administrative reorganization of government agencies and offers advice on administrative problems referred to it by ministries and public organizations. In addition, it conducts research projects related to administration and cements cultural relationships in the field of public administration through designing and offering training programs for various echelons of employees, and through other related activities.
Job Description:
The English Language Center (ELC) at the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) is responsible for an intensive English language program. There are four sessions each academic year, each session being eight weeks. Teachers are required to teach writing, reading, listening and speaking courses. These courses are categorized into primary, elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. Teachers will also be responsible for designing, administering, proctoring, correcting exams and entering the results using the ELC system. It is worth noting that the IPA has recently installed SmartBoards in the classrooms and teachers in the ELC are using them in delivering the courses. Moreover, a computer-assisted language learning (CALL) technology is integrated into this program.
