(H, M & E)
San Diego, CA

NAVY

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, validate and ship-check all PMS related to HM/E equipment

  • Participate in rebuilding the job plans to improve planning efficiency, incorporate QA requirements and include data collection requirements. 

  • Implement Force Revisions and other changes

  • Assist with PMS report requirements

  • Identify crew support and tagout requirements    

  • Prior Navy supply experience strongly desire

  • Thorough knowledge of working on a NAVY ship.
  • A strong understanding of Navy shipboard Hull, Mechanical and
    Electrical systems.
  • Responsible for the development, validating, updating, and maintenance of project schedules and associated resource plans.
  • Physically access compartments and spaces on a ship including those accessible only via permanently inclined and vertical ladders and Watertight Doors, Hatches, and Scuttles, and Man Hole Covers.
  • Review (and occasional preparation) of logistics products (technical manuals, outfitting list, spare parts lists).
  • Posting and reporting of schedules and resource plans as required.
  • Adherence to scheduling/resource planning processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
  • Must have experience working with Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Must be able work in a team environment, have a positive attitude, be willing to work at times long hours.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability and willingness to work in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding workflow, material processing, basic shipbuilding knowledge and production processes is required along with knowledge of Navy and Coast Guard scheduling.
  • Five years of engineering maintenance experience.
  • Broad practical knowledge of shipboard electronic systems such as:  RADAR, SONAR, ESW, ESCM, Fire Control, Weapons Systems, solid state gyro compasses, fathometers, speed logs, electronic navigation systems.
  • Conversancy in reading drawings and specifications for shipboard systems..
  • Proficient is the use of tools to view electronic drawings (e.g. Autodesk AutoCAD, TrueView, DesignReview etc.) of shipboard systems.
