Disaster Recovery Project Manager - Plymouth, MN, Basking Ridge, NJ, Hartford, CT, Trumbull, CT or Moline, IL
 
Position Description:
 
This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining disaster recover solutions and documentation for both applications and infrastructure. Concentrated functional areas of job performance will include managing the creation and on-going maintenance of disaster recovery plans and supporting documentation for critical applications and infrastructure, project management of disaster recovery exercises, developing and documenting policies and guidelines which support the disaster recovery program and assisting with the management of an actual disaster event which impacts organizational assets.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 10 years - Information Technology experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) technology
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years - Working knowledge of critical business processes, products and services as well as IT operations, applications and infrastructure
  • 5 years - Experience implementing and coordinating Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and technologies
  • 5 years - Experience in project management, writing technical and procedural documentation
  • 3 years - 5 years Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and facilitating the recovery process
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, with a team and across functional areas 
  • Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery certification (DRI, BCI, etc.)
  • PMP certification, preferred.
  • Ability to work off-hours in emergency situations
