| QA Engineer/Tester (Charlotte, NC) |
This position is located in Charlotte, NC.
- Analyze and test functional requirements
- Develop application requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources including analysis results and feedback from the business community
- Develop environment (JCL, PROCs, Parm, Prog) to test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements
- Review project deliverables for completeness and quality and compliance with established project standards
- Assist QA Analyst in creation of test scripts/case
- Review business requirements and functional designs
- Facilitate testing requirements gathering sessions and peer review sessions
- Ensure traceability of testing requirements to functional objectives, and technical designs
- Collaborate and establish relationships with Business Partners build UAT
- Act as technical liaison between the Developer and QA Analyst
- Escalate project issues/defects for resolution as needed
- Develop techncial Test Conditions
- Must have at least 3-5 years experience in the QA discipline with a developer's background
- Must be able to execute and test JCL, PROCs, programs, and parms in a mainframe environment while possessing an analytical ability to research problems and/or defects
- Must be able to use all the modules within Quality Center (formerly TestDirector)
- Strong oral and written communication, documentation, and meeting facilitation skills
- Knowledge of IRA products, and/or standard brokerage products/services is required
- Knowledge of Wachovia mainframe and distributed applications is preferred
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Some BETA / Securities Knowledge preferred
