Admissions Coordinator

Coordinate all admissions and transfers to the facility. Work closely with the nursing staff and social services relating to psycho/service needs of the prospective resident.  Open and review mail daily; process inquiries in registry book for waiting list placement; file applications and referrals.  Review and process application.  Present processed application to the Admissions committee for approval and record minutes for the meeting.  Perform follow-up duties following application approval.  Process admission bulletins, obtain signatures, and process dietary histories.  Coordinate transfers involving room changes or interfacility transfers.  Maintain a daily census record according to facility records; and assist in annual budget preparation for Admissions Dept.

Requirements
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree; valid Indiana Driver’s License and reliable transportation for job-related travel; ability to meet health assessment requirements; and strong communication skills.  1-2 yrs.’ related experience is preferred.
