Description

Southwest client is looking for a Loan Officer II who can assist members and potential members with their credit Union financial needs explains services, sets up new deposit accounts, interviews member for loan application, processes and analyze loan requests and makes credit decisions based on lending policy. Funds and closes loan with the member.
Has Lending Authority Limit up to and including Level 4.
Interviews member loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.
Explains loan programs to members, evaluates their needs and recommends loan options.
Processes and analyzes current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
Makes decision to approve based on lending policy within parameters of lending authority level, or forwards the loan request with recommendation to higher levels for decision or referral to credit committee.
Prepares loan documents, funds and closes loan with the member explaining terms and conditions.
Assists members with opening and closing all types of accounts, processes wire requests.
answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve.
Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
Acts as the member's advocate in offering credit union products and services.

Assists members with opening, changing, closing and accessing safe deposit boxes in branches where this service is offered.

regulations.
 
3. To ensure loan documentation is accurate and includes all information needed to make a loan
decision.
 
4. To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate
manner.
 
6. To maintain a professional work environment and business like appearance.

7. To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.







Requirements

Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience  

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Monday - Friday   8-7 depending on schedule with some Saturdays
