Requirements

Bachelors in Engineering, with  7+ years experience , or a Masters Degree with 5 + years of experience in the field of high performance marine vehicles.

Desired Skill Set Includes

  • A practical knowledge of applicable military and commercial vessel construction standards and specifications.
  • Familiarity with general engineering analysis and modeling tools.
  • Experience with one or more 3-D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, or NX5

  • Structural component design and stress analysis

  • Knowledge of materials and/or requirements for advanced marine craft and machinery. Including but not limited to: HVAC, hydraulic components,  fluid systems design, air propellers, fixed and controllable pitch water propellers and waterjets, along with ability to size fans for lift systems, etc.

  • Must have demonstrated the ability to successfully initiate and carry to completion assignments of major responsibility and of a highly complex and technical nature
  • The ability to communicate effectively and directly with representatives of other departments  and vendors to attain mutually satisfactory engineering solutions.

  •  Travel within the Continental U.S. may be required.
