MEDICAL Research Coordinator- RN

In this key role, you will be responsible for the revision and maintenance of Local Coverage Determinations(LCDs) and electronic records/web documents.  Assists in the development of LCDs and various web documents.  Responsible for all correspondence with internal/external customers regarding coverage decisions.

Requires an active Texas RN License.  Minimum four (4) years clinical experience;  1 of the four years years should be in Medical Affairs, Acute Care (inpatient hospital) experience preferably critical care.  Basic understanding of the workings of healthcare insurance or medicare.  Ability to work collaboratively with physicians.
RN License required.

•  Working knowledge of Word Processing Software
• Good Judgement
• Effective customer service, organizational, and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical of critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• 4-year degree school of nursing

• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and procedural/diagnostic coding

• Working knowledge of Mircosoft Excel, Access, or other spreadsheet/database software
