Power Plant Operator

The Power Plant Operator will operate and maintains power plants, related equipment, and systems throughout the hospital and other Lincoln facilities. Performs facilities maintenance tasks as required.

• Completes preventive and corrective work orders correctly and in a reasonable length of time as demonstrated by inspection.
• Random inspection will find work areas and storage areas clean and uncluttered. 
• Responds to temperature adjustment requests and other maintenance requests relating to patient comfort or convenience as evidenced by customer feedback and documentation.
• Operates emergency generators under load once each month when assigned. 
• Operation must be in accordance with applicable NFPA codes.
• Takes pertinent readings and documents results in generator logs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent OR Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
• 3 - 5 years power plant operator and/or maintenance experience
• Must have a clean driving record as defined by John C. Lincoln Health Network Driver Qualification Policy Q-359 (available upon request)
• Must be at least 21 years of age AND provide a current and valid Arizona driver's license AND provide a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) from the Department of Motor Vehicles for a 3 year period that has been approved in advance by an insurance carrier AND provide current certificate of completion of the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course-4 (DDC-4) or successfully complete the next available, quarterly conducted, in-house training provided JCLHN Driver's Safety Course AND Commercial driver's license (CDL) is required if incumbent will be driving any vehicle that weighs more than 26,001 lbs and/or is capable of carrying 15 or more passengers.
