Practice Administrator
Well-established (35+ years) mid-sized OB-GYN practice located in Virginia Beach seeks an experienced professional to direct business operations and administration. The practice has 3 locations and 42 staff, including 8 physicians.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Practice Administrator will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and to:
- Supervise all clinical and administrative staff and to adherence to all compliance requirements
- Prepare monthly financial statement, account reconciliation and budgets preparation
- Produce physician productivity and expense reports
- Implement and monitor cash controls
- Oversee payroll, A/P, general ledger, tax payments, fixed assets and purchasing
- Effective utilization of fully integrated EMR (digiChart)
- Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures regarding patient accounts and reimbursements by patients, insurance and other third-party reimburses
- Oversee all coding policies and procedures
- Responsible for monthly scheduling including physician call
- Assist the BOD in developing and implementing short and long term plans
- Represent practice and interact with regulatory agencies, insurance carriers and other professional and community groups
- Responsible for all employee benefit programs
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field and 8-10 years of medical practice management experience. The candidate will also demonstrate strong leadership capabilities as a key member of the management team for problem resolution and quality patient services.
