Property Accountant

The Property Accountant is responsible for administration of maintaining the sub-ledger for domestic operations, ensuring reconciliation to the General Ledger and Control (financial reporting system), and maintaining company guidelines and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain the property sub ledgers, including real and intangible assets for domestic operations.
• Prepare property journal entries and monthly property-related reconciliations.
•  Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and related analysis for fixed asset accounting to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements.
• Work with internal and external auditors to provide information and resolve inquiries for quarterly and year-end activities.
• Maintain process documentation and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to compliment Fixed Asset's internal controls and process flows.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of procedures supporting corporate policies for real and intangible assets.
• Assist with the integration of business acquisitions as they relate to real and intangible assets.

• Education B.S. /B.A. in Accounting   
• Work Experience 3-5 years real estate accounting preferred.   
• Effective working knowledge of Excel and/or other spreadsheet applications, Microsoft office products, real-estate accounting software a plus.
