Social Compliance Manager-Apparel

This market leading Apparel Brand needs a Social Compliance Manager to create and execute a World Wide Social Compliance program for the company from the ground up. Although this Brand is noted for their positive employee relations and benefits programs in their company owned facilities, they now want to establish a consistent Social Compliance program for the contract partners who provide either full package sourcing or any supplies or services utilized in the manufacturing process. In addition to working closely with all company internal business units this position is the face of the company in terms of external Social Compliance Associations and issues.

The company needs an expert in the Social Compliance field as this person will create a Social Compliance program that does not exist today.  Must have 5 years of Managerial experience related to Social Compliance. Quality Control, and Sourcing experience are positive as well. Knowledge of international labor standards associated with apparel manufacturing is a big plus. The successful individual must be strategic in order to develop both short and long term plans. Successful collaboration and support from various departments, both internal and external are needed.  Because the program must be adopted and enforced by contract vendors the program must be clear, concise, and fair. The travel requirement will be as high as 50% and will be domestic and international in nature.
