Job Description

We are working on a VP of BD/Client Relations for a Catastrophe Modeling Company.  Below is an outline of the specific role. Client Practice Leader (VP of BD and Client Relations)


Location:  East Coast (Pennsylvania/New Jersey or Bermuda)


Opportunity:


The opportunity at hand is to become a VP of BD/Client Relations for one of the leading Catastrophe Modeling companies in the industry. They are offering a special candidate the chance to lead others while furthering their career in an ever growing environment. All candidates need a record of success in the CAT modeling / reinsurance agency along with being a proven leader in the past. 


Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the regional Client Practice Team
  • Consistently looking for ways to expand the client list and enhance client satisfaction
  • Continually attend industry conferences and professional seminars such as those held by CPCU, ICMS, etc.
  • Keep up to date on the latest catastrophe management software developments
  • Assist the SVP of Client Practices in overall sales and client relationship planning


Job Requirements


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in insurance, mathematics, actuarial studies, cartography, urban planning, structural engineering, etc.
  • 7+ years experience in property insurance and reinsurance underwriting
  • 5+ years experience/working knowledge of insurance catastrophe modeling practices including modeling data requirements, analytic results, loss exceedance curves, risk metrics, etc.
  • 5+ years experience working with EDM, EDI, Excel, CSV Formats related to catastrophe modeling
  • Vast use of contract forms used in software licensing and consulting agreements along with significant business development knowledge and experience are a MUST


Compensation:


150-200k + 50% Bonus
