Description
Our client, in suburban Maryland, is currently seeking a Senior SAN Engineer / Architect to join their team. This will start out as a contract position with the intent to convert to a permanent position after three months.
Responsible for the design and replication administration, maintenance, and performance of the RM and SAN storage technologies. This entails ability to manage RM across various EMC point-in-time replication technologies and centrally automate mounting, dismounting, scheduling, and expiration of replicas. In addition to RM-related activities, ability to manage the installation, configuration and tuning of storage software on all host platforms including EMC CLARiiON arrays as well as Windows 2000/2003 and Linux operating systems. Perform general storage-related tasks such as configuration and allocation of storage to servers, problem reporting and remedial coordination with the hardware vendors, Change Management coordination, and site performance analysis and reporting.
