GES seeks a Proposal & Marcomm Specialist to join our Marketing & Corporate Communication team in Neptune, NJ. Our successful candidate will report to the Manager of Marketing & Corporate Communication and provide proposal and pre-qualification development as well as design, writing, and editing services to multi-disciplinary proposal project teams. In addition, our Proposal & Marcomm Specialist will assist in the development of marketing collateral.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the operations proposal manager to develop and manage the proposal project plan
- Performs proposal requirements analysis related to logistics, format, and content
- Reviews proposals in order to ensure continuity and compliance with legal, technical and marketing specifications: copy edit for format, grammar, style, punctuation, and spelling
- Maintains communication with proposal team and helps to ensure that all proposals are submitted within deadline
- Authors selected portions of some proposals
- Designs and produces proposal covers, layouts, organizational charts, and presentations
- Posts and monitors proposal Q&A; communicates with client representative as needed
- Coordinates production and delivery of proposal by marketing or operations staff
- Develops and implements proposal templates, content, and standards for company-wide consistency
- Assists in the development and implementation of programs for continuous improvement in the proposal process and deliverables
- Helps to create and maintain marketing content and collateral such as presentations, ads, brochures, cut sheets, web content, newsletters, etc.
- Serves as a resource to operations personnel for corporate marketing information and preparation of materials
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communication or a related discipline
5+ years of corporate marketing/communication and/or government contract proposal development experience is required
- Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction industry-related experience is a plus
- Experience completing SF 330 forms is an asset
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability perform copy editing
- Excellent MS Word and Visio skills and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat applications is required
- Must be flexible to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks within compressed timeframes
- Must have the demonstrated ability to take an initiative from concept development through to implementation
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential
