Labor Administrator

Job Description 

POSITION SUMMARY/OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:    Perform review of utilization of labor resources for specific sites based on parameters of approved operational Staffing Control Document.   Maintain reporting tools that assist field management in executing labor management initiatives.  Communicate findings regarding differences in actual results as compared to expected / approved labor resources to the Regional Vice President, Manager of Labor Analysis and site Administrator.  Assist site Administrator or Director of Nursing in establishing a staffing schedule that adheres to the approved hours by position type.  Ensure data integrity by maintaining the appropriate data tables and coding structures within PeopleSoft.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  

1. Perform review of labor utilization based on parameters of approved operational Staffing Control Document (SCD).

a.  Identify Full-Time Equivalents (FTE) by position type and position code as compared to the operational SCD.

b.  Maintain current FTE active listing with approved position codes and hours as compared to the SCD.  Remove or transfer FTE that are not “active” at the site.

c.  Assist site Administrator and / Director of Nursing in developing a schedule that adheres to the approved operating hours by position type for the site on a bi-weekly basis.

d.  Compare actual hours worked by position type to the approved schedule to determine compliance of site staff.

e.  Communicate areas of non-compliance and differences between actual resources being utilized as compared to approved positions to the Regional Vice President of Operations and Manager of Labor Analysis.

 

2.  Manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Position Management at the site level.

a.  Assist in the development of methods to increase the knowledge and compliance of field and corporate staff with regards to position management and control.

b. Perform auditing of position data in the site labor system in order to maintain position management job and position code data.

c. Serve as a liaison between site field operators, Regional Vice President and Manager of Labor Analysis for labor and position management projects

d.  Create and maintain position management job and position code data within site T3 system.

 

3.  Develop, run and distribute a variety of ad-hoc and standard business management reports involving staffing, position management, classification and other areas.  Provide recommendations on achieving business objectives and metrics for labor initiatives.

 

4.  Assist in the review, testing and implementation of PeopleSoft system upgrades to enhance labor controls and staffing for the field operations.

 

5.  Assist in completion of special projects on an as needed basis within the HR, Operations, and Finance departments.




Job Requirements 

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

 

Education:    Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Health Administration.  Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.

 

Experience Level:  2 - 3 years experience business operations, accounting or finance.  Time & Labor experience preferred.

 

Tools and Technology:  Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
