Job Description

Established precision manufacturer is expanding their medical device manufacturing division.  The company has recently invested in major technology, equipment and highly skilled team members who can assist in their continued growth.  They have a terrific working environment.  Due to increased sales they have several openings for a skilled swiss lmachinist / programmer as well as individuals who can run Mazak Integrex. 

 

Qualified Candidates must have at least 3 years experience with Citizen and/or Star CNC Swiss screw machines, which must include the ability to take a print to qualified part. You must be able to do set-ups, program, operate, and troubleshoot these types of Swiss Style CNC screw machines. Previous experience working within a high volume job shop is a huge plus. You will be assigned to several machines so the ability to multi-task is also very important.

 

MUST HAVE:  a minimum of 5 years of set up experience with a minimum of 2 years of swiss lathe programming.  There is also a opportunity for one set up operator with no programming skills required.  Strong troubleshooting skills and leadership abilities is strongly preferred.  Past experience producing class III medical components is a big plus.

Job Requirements

CNC Programmer / Machinist / Setup

 

Our client is seeking a candidate to become an integral part of a fast growing team. Candidate must be able to program and machine tight tolerance parts as well as production parts.  Candidates must be proficient at programming and set up of CNC milling and lathe machines. Multi axis lathe experience and live tooling lathe experience is preferred. Experience with Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances along with reading and interpreting blueprints is required. THIS IS NOT AN OPERATOR POSITION!! Only machinists with set-up and programming experience will be considered.

 

Desired Background:

 

  •    CNC Programming experience (Mazak experience REQUIRED)
  •    Machining Experience 5+ years, prefer 10+ years
  •    Hands-on metalworking applications and manufacturing experience
  •    ISO9000 or ISO13482

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Program  & Set Up Mazak Integrex 200 and 100, 5 axis lathes,  
  • Program & Set Up  Mazak horizontal  and vertical machining centers
  • Provide hands-on manufacturing expertise for machined products
  • Perform a variety of machining services
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications
  • Perform CNC and manual machine set up
  • Part inspection
  • Working off blueprints
  • Operation & set up on a Mazak Integrex machine
  • Editing with Mazatrol conversational controls
  • Develop processes & fixtures
  • Must be able to work independently
