Description
Summary
Performs visual, mechanical and electrical inspection on parts, electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies from vendors, customers and other BEI sites for compliance with applicable drawing and quality standards and specifications.
Position Responsibilities
·Works from Receiving packaging documentation and various internal documents to verify that the receipt of incoming material is compliant with specifications.
·Performs various inspection activities on electronic and mechanical parts, complex electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies for proper markings and other various quality requirements.
·Inputs data into the Data Collection System and/or MRP system.
·Checks configuration on all assemblies.
·Participates in providing timely feedback to other operations, management and support engineering as appropriate.
·Follows and maintains accurate process documentation and recommends improvements based on pertinent data.
·Provides inspection disposition and directs appropriate material control (reject/quarantine or stock).
·Knowledgeable of material and special process specification as related to the semi-conductor capital equipment and Aerospace industries.
·Able to perform visual incoming inspection on castings and purchased components.
·Knowledgeable of Aerospace traceability and serialization requirements.
·Must be able to create shipping packages that will be sent directly to customers with 100% accuracy.
·Must have knowledge of MRP systems and be able to navigate these systems in order to move and ship components.

Position Qualifications
Education / Experience
·HS/GED or equivalent combination
· 3+ years inspection experience
