Position Objective
The Senior Interaction Designer is an integral member of the UXDS, User Experience Design Studio.  The goal of this position is to lead the interaction design portion of the Carbon Initiative, which is focused on redesigning our one to one communication marketing product.  In addition, this role will own the ongoing design of the user interaction on all our one-to -one communication marketing products.   This role is imperative to the success of the Carbon Initiative and the UXDS.

The Senior Interaction Designer will design the user interaction layer and UI components for concept prototypes, assist in the evaluation and testing of the concepts and incorporate the feedback to design the interaction for the final product(s).  This work will include a range of activities including participating in and leveraging user experience research, responsibility for interaction design and assisting in development of the visual interface design.  The position will work as part of a cross-functional team with a business analyst, information architect, human factors/usability specialist, and visual designer to product user-centered interaction components and interfaces for our end-users.  This is a senior level position that requires extensive experience in interaction design for successful and innovative web applications.  The Interaction Designer is required to be aware of the latest techniques and approaches to interaction design and to ensure that these techniques are appropriately incorporated into the product.
