Job Description 

Manage Field Service Operations with physical location to be determined within the Southeast US region. This will include daily management of  Harris Field Service personnel in the region.  Responsible for installation, testing, demand services, warranty support, and follow on maintenance contracts for Harris LMR systems and user equipment.  Management of subcontracted service work will also be included.  Additionally, the Manager will lead pursuit of new service business in the Southeast market and provide proposal support to the Harris proposal center in the form of price estimates and proposal write-ups on behalf of Field Services.  Will support Harris direct sales force as well as Harris Channel Partners.



The successful candidate will be specifically responsible for:

-Attainment of P&L, quality, & customer satisfaction metrics
-Effective management of sub-contractors & the quality of work performed in the fulfillment of contractual obligations within the region
-Facilitating DDI Interviews & Staffing with competent personnel as required
-Meeting or exceeding operational and customer centric metrics
-Visiting all customers and channel partners on a regular basis
-Conflict resolution with channel partners
-Vigilantly pursuing and growing maintenance business within the region
-Preparation of proposal material including service pricing and write-ups in support of sales
-Preparation of "Scope of Work" (SOW) documentation in obtaining cost estimates from Authorized Service Shops (ASCs)
-Reviewing and ensuring that all proposals are congruent with current business philosophy, technology and financial requirements
-Special projects as required     

 

Job Requirements 

Qualifications:
  • BS in Business or Technical Field with a minimum 5-years experience in wireless communications
  • Experience in leading multi-functional teams
  • Experience in oral and written presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize assignments
  • Experience and ability to manage large radio networks, including system deployment, system operations, system maintenance, technology upgrades, coverage testing & product verification
  • Successful record of P&L and expense management and revenue/cost forecasting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications including, Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Moderate overnight travel required



Preferred Additional Skills:

  • General FCC Radio License
