Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·          Develop an annual strategic business plan that reflects the Health Center’s service goals and objectives.

·          Prepare an annual community needs assessment that reflects the Health Center’s health indices for mortality and morbidity rates, provider population ratios, and economic indicators.

·          Assist the CEO in preparing new and continuing grant applications.

·          Develop plans for school-based health and substance abuse grant applications.

·          Responsible for developing and maintaining a database on all grant and program activities, including data analysis.

·          Responsible for developing a plan that coordinates systems to support efficient and effective communication, resource sharing, prevention of duplication and fragmentation of services.

·          Develop a marketing plan strategy for specific target population based on services to be offered, service need and consumer demographics.

·          Design and implement a plan to expand patient services and to increase SWLA Center for Health Services’ market share.

·          Develop health promotion and intervention strategies to promote access to health care among all age groups.

·          Develop and implement health education plan to include a wellness program and attract new consumer users at SWLA Center for Health Services.

·          Develop health promotion and intervention strategies to establish niche services within SWLA Center for Health Services’ service area. Services to include women services, senior services and services to persons with HIV/AIDS.

·          Develop a monitoring system to identify unnecessary utilization of medical services.

·          Develop intervention and outreach services to special populations including the homeless.

·          Develop a system for monitoring provider contracts including staff position contracts with private insurance plans.

·          Prepare monthly reports including SWLACHS grantee performance measures as required to ensure operation effectiveness.

·          Responsible for the design and implementation of skills development training program for entry level employees.

·          Perform departmental evaluation analysis and effectiveness.

·          Perform non-clinical risk management functions and works with Quality Improvement Director to identify risk that pose a danger to users and the corporation.

·          Other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

·          A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Business Accounting or Health Services Administration..

·          Minimum of  three (3) year’s experience in health care delivery and/or equivalent are desirable.

·          Excellent written communication skills to assist the CEO in preparing new and continuing grant applications to secure funding for special populations.

·          Experience and ability to apply sound administrative principles and methods in the management of budgets and diverse personnel and health care program.

·          Ability to analyze complex data and communicate results effectively orally and in writing.

·          Demonstrated ability to provide project management on critical health care issues and programs.
