Description

Viking Resouce Group has an immediate opening for an Environmental Compliance Engineer with project management experience in Petroleum tank installation at a growing facility in the Latham, NY area.

The successful candidate will have 6-10 years of environmental and compliance consulting

experience. 

Job duties will include project management, budget development, cost control, project execution and significant customer/regulatory interaction.  The project manager is expected to travel as required and to perform on-site petroleum bulk storage compliance inspections, write reports, and to successfully negotiate with regulatory agency officials.

A strong technical background, excellent computer skills, a thorough understanding of petroleum bulk storage regulations, and the ability to make quick decisions are a must for this position.

Depending upon skill level and other attributes, the project manager will be required to

perform petroleum bulk storage compliance training and to assist the Compliance

Manager in the same. The project manager is fully expected to work independently and

to contribute to the overall profitability of the Compliance Department as well as the

Company.

Requirements MUST have a BS degree in Geology and/or Environmental Engineering or better.

Must have 6-10 years of experience in Project Management / Compliance Engineering for petroleum storage installation and inspection.

Must have top written and verbal communication skils and computer skills.

Must have a proven history of compiling and writing environmental reports and reviewing and completing the appropriate governmental data.

Must live within a reasonable commute of the Latham, NY area.
