Description
Coordinate and handle a range of admissions issues, including international admissions, good moral character, associate member outreach, standards and ethics courses requirement, membership applications, master’s degree program, and associate member outreach.
Provide high quality customer service/satisfaction to Affiliate/Associate Members of the Appraisal Institute, including helping Associate Members understand and successfully complete requirements for designation, and resolving complex issues, complaints and inquiries. Strive to increase Associate Member completion of individual admissions requirements and the number of designated members by providing exemplary service. Maintain knowledge of complex Admissions regulations, policies, procedures, etc., in order to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Work closely and maintain excellent rapport with other Appraisal Institute staff to ensure completion of all tasks in a team environment.
Job Duties:
· International Admissions - Coordinate and handle international admissions issues, including but not limited to:
o Contact with international associate members, including counseling on admissions requirements
o Coordinating and processing international experience submissions, comprehensive examination offerings, demonstration appraisal report submissions and education
o Interfacing with other departments as appropriate to coordinate international admissions activity
o Identifying and implementing streamlining of international Associate Member processing.
o Support Admissions and Designation Qualifications Committee regarding international admissions.
· Good moral character. Review admissions applications where good moral character issue may exist. Identify and obtain necessary information. Coordinate review of issues, including committees. Work with counsel as appropriate.
· Membership applications. Process all new Associate & Affiliate Member applications, including but not limited to identifying appropriate requirements (paths) to designation, equivalencies, payments, and contact information.
· Master’s Degree program. Work with appropriate staff, committee and colleges/universities to establish and maintain master degree programs that serve as path to Appraisal Institute designation.
· Member Status Change Applications. Address membership category and status issues (i.e., student status, Non-Practicing, Temp Non-Practicing, Masters Degree Program students, Trainees, aspiring trainees).
· Respond to emails from associate members regarding admissions requirements
· Identify ideas for streamlining all admissions procedures.
· Pro-actively identify Associate Members close to designation and conduct pro-active outreach, encouraging and helping them fulfill final requirements for designation.
· Serve as liaison to Chapters with admissions questions, issues
· Coordinate and implement enforcement of Standards & Ethics course requirements for Associate Members.
· Back-up 4111 ACD Line.
Non-Essential Job Duties:
· Processes reimbursement forms for all international relations.
· Other duties or projects as assigned by Manager, or Director.
Requirements
· Excellent interpersonal skills for effectively relating to AI members and the public.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven customer service/problem solving skills.
· Empathy and understanding for members experiencing difficulty in completing designation requirements.
· Must have the ability to analyze business problems and develop effective solutions.
· Adept at using technology and able to suggest technological efficiencies in everyday operations.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong organization skills.
· Multi-lingual desirable
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
Minimum two years office/customer service experience (association experience preferred).
