Description Our Client is a leading Manufacturer in the clothing space.  They are in need of Swimwear Technical Designer.  Your main role will be to Support the design team through from product development conceptual stage through Pre-Production.  Also you will be responsible for the following:
Work with design team to develop the initial tech packs for the collection.
Full understanding of the design and brand aesthetics requirement for each collection.
Develop accurate product specifications within calendar deadlines, including sample size measurements, full size grading  & construction details
Review  measurements & construction of all samples at the beginning of each season & review each style in conjunction with product and design teams through live model or mannequin fittings
Issue revised product specifications and fit correction comments after the review including photo or sketch corrections or actual pattern corrections as necessary
Request additional fit , photo and salesmen samples as needed
Communicate regularly with overseas production team and vendors.
Create work-in-progress reports for Design Team plus other reports as needed to accurately monitor the product life cycle
Requirements
AS or BA degree in Fashion Design (Patternmaking major preferred)
4+ years swim experience in apparel industry required
Patternmaking Knowledge necessary
Good verbal and written communication skills required
Factory exposure a plus
Able to sketch directly in computer a must
