Diesel and/or School Bus Mechanic Position


Responsibilities :
  • Performing Preventative Maintenance on Mixed Diesel School Bus Fleet
  • Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision
  • Complete most repairs and parts replacements
  • Accurately complete written record of work performed
  • Communicate with Drivers regarding “Vehicle Condition Reports” and make appropriate repairs
  • Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed


Primary Duties:
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Oil changes
  • Air/hydraulic brakes
  • Suspensions
  • Transmissions
  • General maintenance
 
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 2 years experience in vehicle maintenance and/or repair.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must provide your own tools
  • Must possess valid clear driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass background checks and compliance
    • Criminal history check
    • DMV check
    • SSN check
    • DOT Drug Test
  • Trade school, mechanical course, or equivalent highly desired.


Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
